| The Sherman is one of Britain’s
premiere theatres for young people and is the major
producing venue in South Wales in the centre of
Cardiff.
For Cardiff’s 2005 birthday celebrations,
The Sherman has a wide range of participatory
events, including “The Boy Who Told Tales”,
a new play about the life and stories of Hans
Christian Andersen, in the Autumn. This project
is a joint collaboration with The Sherman Youth
Theatre, Acting Out Cardiff (our award-winning
arts education scheme) and several local Youth
Centres.
As well as all this, we’ve got weekly activities
and shows for children, comedy, musicals, the
best of Welsh drama, welcoming staff and a great
little restaurant.
