| This one-woman show explores the
magical world of a young girl as she grows into
a woman during the far-reaching changes of the
50s and 60s of the last century. As she searches
for paths to freedom and longs for transformation
her identity is formed.
Holl Liwie’r Enfys is written and performed
by the pioneering actress Sharon Morgan and follows
on from her previous play, the internationally
acclaimed, Ede’ Hud. It is based on stories
about the woman in her family using fragments
of memory, half-forgotten songs and snatches of
poetry to portray the fragility of the hidden
hopes and unusual pleasures of women’s lives
in a society attempting to slough off the past. |
