| “Every two weeks, one of
the world’s languages dies.”
Four international experts gather in Cardiff
to save one of the world’s endangered languages
from the brink of extinction. But as personalities
clash and opposites attract, the decision on which
language should be saved becomes impossible to
make.
Following acclaimed public readings in London,
New York and the New Zealand International Arts
Festival, ‘Mother Tongue’ is the latest
play of Roger Williams (writer of the BAFTA nominated
TV hit Tales From Pleasure Beach and stage succeses
including Saturday Night Forever, Killing Kangaroos
and Gulp). It features an international cast of
actors including Sharon Morgan, Victor Rodger,
Stephen Marzella and
Sandra Kelly. Design by Paul Rees.
