One of Wales’ most pioneering
multi-media theatre companies from the past thirty
years turns its attention to Bertolt Brecht’s
epic masterpiece about the 17th century astronomer
whose “heretical” discoveries about
the solar system brought him to the attention
of the Inquisition.
Directed by Geoff Moore with an ensemble cast
of leading names in Welsh theatre alongside a
team of amateur and professional actors, designers
and dancers from across the city, Brecht’s
Galileo reconsiders contemporary debates between
science and religion whilst playing out the hidden
dramas recently discovered concerning the writing
of Brecht’s seminal plays.
