An installation of captivating
images, sound and devices created by the Italian
magicians of theatrical spectacle and literary
intrigue: Fanny & Alexander. Ada, a family
chronicle is inspired by Vladimir Nabokov’s
most complex and baroque novel, Ada or Ardor,
a novel that turns on the idea of the construction
of the work of art as representation of one’s
own life. The installation creates games and visual
puzzles that fragment and magnify the book’s
dazzling themes of memory, incest and art.
This is Fanny & Alexander’s third visit
to Chapter, following their acclaimed performances,
Romeo and Juliet – et ultra in 2000 and
Requiem in 2002. |
